The AutoCAD® Electrical:

The Logical Choice in Electrical and Electronic Design

 

Once you define the I/O assignments of your project in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, AutoCAD Electrical will automatically create schematics, accurately drawing ladders, adding I/O modules, and inserting addresses and descriptive text.  Component and terminal symbols are added at I/O points.  When the design is complete, AutoCAD Electrical automatically generates Bills of Materials and From/To Wire Lists.   This takes the drudgery out of circuit, switch, and wiring harness design.  Manually assigning wire numbers and component tags is a tedious, time-consuming, and error-prone business.  AutoCAD Electrical will even build intelligent PLC I/O drawings by selecting manufacturer specific PLC 1/O modules from them libraries included with the software while providing visual wiring sequence indicators that shows the proper wiring sequence of a circuit directly on the schematic.
